Introduction to Characterization: Students were introduced to Characterization by completing a quick write that asked students to define characterization and identify the key differences between indirect and direct characterization. Students were also introduced to the STEAL method: Video Clip Activity:Students were given a graphic organizer that also had a list of character traits on the backside. They were to watch the clips and write out three character traits that best fit the character based on the clip. After each clip, we discussed as a class the traits and also supported by stating evidence from the video.
